Everything you buy for your cafe racer doesn’t necessarily need to be brand new. In fact, I recommend you get anything used as much as possible. Used products will almost always be much cheaper than brand new . After letting the fiberglass cure 1-3hrs, remove the seat pan from the bike or bench. Take all the tape off and remove any of the support sheet metal and cardboard used.

The fiberglass tank was gutted as it’s purpose is now to be a fairing rather than a fuel vessel and a set of instruments for monitoring charge have been custom fitted. The seats are really comfortable, especially with the leather finishes and the unique „watchstrap” design. There’s plenty of adjustment in the steering column to get a comfortable position too. All trim levels get a leather steering wheel, which increases in quality as you step up the trim. Despite its apparent modernism, there’s a retro-fit feel to this car.

I usually use something like the Shinko 712 front tire and something like the Shinko 712 rear tire . When building a cafe racer, you’ll want to replace the taillight and the blinkers for something much smaller yet still functional. I can usually find blinkers for about $30 and a tail light for about $20. Be sure to buy blinkers that blink yellow/amber and a tail light that shines red to avoid problems with road laws. I’ve done hours of research finding the best value replacement parts while still making a motorcycle look good.
